Bubbles Putnam, director of Putnam Health, a healthcare manufacturer based in Devon has won a prestigious regional business award at this year’s EEF Future Manufacturing Awards.
Bubbles won the Leadership Award which celebrates the achievements of outstanding manufacturing leaders and the significant contribution they make to their business and UK manufacturing.
Bubbles was up against stiff competition from individuals from a range of innovative businesses - small and large - from across the region. She was selected by a panel of judges drawn from business leaders, industry experts and academics after impressing them her drive to build upon her family business and find new markets and opportunities to ensure its success.
With the regional title now secured, Bubbles will now go on to find out if she has won the national title at an awards gala dinner in London in January next year.
Bubbles Putnam, Director at Putnam Health, says: “Manufacturers work hard to ensure the success of their business, so I am honoured to have been recognised in this way. This award is not about individual effort though, it is for the hard working and talented team that I work with, without whom this achievement would not have been possible.
“It’s fantastic to be recognised by my peers in this way and I’m really looking forward to the national finals in January to see how I measure up against leaders from across the rest of the UK.”
Jim Davison, South West Region Director at EEF, Says: “Strong, dynamic and inspiring leadership is the cornerstone of a successful business and manufacturers continue to lead the way. Our sector is setting the pace on productivity and is also on the cusp of a technology driven new industrial era. Leadership skills will be vital if we are to remain at the top of our game. This award is justly deserved and Bubbles should be applauded for her efforts. We wish Bubbles the best of luck for the national finals.”
